Ingredients

Method

  1. Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they turn light golden. Set aside to cool.
  2. In the same pan, heat ghee and add grated mawa. Sauté for a few minutes until it turns slightly golden and releases a fragrant aroma.
  3. Add sugar and cardamom powder to the mawa. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and comes together.
  4. Mix in the roasted sesame seeds and chopped nuts. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, then turn off the heat.
  5. If needed, add a tablespoon of milk to help bind the mixture. Allow it to cool slightly until it's easy to handle.
  6. Shape the mixture into small round balls (bati) using your hands.
  7. Garnish each bati with a silver leaf (chandi ka varak) for an elegant presentation, if desired.
  8. Serve Til Mawa Bati at room temperature as a delicious and healthy sweet snack.
