Ingredients

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, chopped onion, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  2. Add water gradually to the mixture and stir to form a thick batter. The batter should be thick enough to hold its shape when dropped into oil.
  3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Using a spoon or your hands, drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil, forming small balls (golgul).
  5. Fry the bhajiya until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  6. Remove the bhajiya from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
