Ingredients

Method

  1. Drain the soaked kidney beans. Cook all the lentils and kidney beans in a pressure cooker with water until soft.
  2. In a pan, heat ghee or oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft and the oil starts to separate.
  5. Mix in the cooked lentils and kidney beans. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  6. Stir in fresh cream and garam masala. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
